Former minister dies in Mogadishu

Former Somali minister died on Saturday night at hospital in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.

The former ports minister, Noor Farah Hirsi succumbed to what was described as a long illness at about 11pm, according to relatives.

Hirsi had been receiving treatment at the hospital for an illness in the last one month.

The minister was described as a patriotic, development-conscious leader who served the country with dedication in various capacities.
