Four hundred police recruits graduate in Adado

Four hundred Galmudug Police recruits have graduated after completing a four-month training conducted in Adado town, the capital administrative of Galmudug State.

The officers, comprising young Somali men and women, are the first batch of recruits to graduate in Galamudug this year.

The colourful ceremony which was attended by Galmudug leader, Abdikarim Hussein Guleid and several high rank officials from his admistration took place on Sunday. It was presided by the Somali Police Commissioner Mohamed Hassan Hamoud.

Mr. Hamud congratulated the recruits for completing the intensive training.

He also commended Galmudug administration for its commitment in securing the region.

“I am welcoming you to join the Somali Police Forces, especially Galmudug Police Force. You are part of a huge police force in Somalia, you are required to work for the community, and when you are performing your duties, you should show respect to society members,” said Hamud.

For his part, the President of Galmudug State  Guleid has stated that his administration is committed in establishing the security branches, and the police is the prime branch of the security.
