Clan clashes break out in Marka town, Lower Shabelle-sources

Sources in Marka town in Lower Shabelle indicate fighting between clans in the area broke out Saturday morning.

There is no immediate information available about casualties of the clashes, but residents are reporting heavy artillery fire by warring parts.

The town has in the past seen such clan skirmishes which claimed many lives and there is yet a tangible reconciliation.
