Galmudug State president Ahmed Haaf arrives in Kismayo ahead of the regional state leaders meeting

Galmudug State president Ahmed Ducaalle Gelle Haaf and his delegation arrived in Kismayu the headquarter of Jubaland state ahead of the regional state leaders meeting.

Galmudug state president and his delegation were warmly welcomed by his Jubbaland counterpart, Ahmed Madobe and other high-ranking officials in Kismayo International Airport.

The leaders of Somalia’s Federal member states are due to meet in the southern port city of Kismayo, the capital of Jubbaland state this week.

The other regional state presidents are expected to arrive Kismayo on tomorrow.

Jubbaland forces were reported to have beefed up the overall security of the town, ahead of the meeting.
