Goobjoog TV producer in detention for the 2nd day in Hargeisa

Somaliland authorities arrested Goobjoog Tv news producer Omar Ali Hassan Serbiya on Saturday upon arrival at Egal International airport in Hargeisa.

Serbiya was arrested shortly, after he arrived at airport by Somaliland Police, who did not comment his detention.

Omer has been working at Goobjoog Media Group for the last three years, and left Mogadishu Saturday morning for a two weeks Family Vocation to Hargeisa.

the Somali National Union of Journalists NUSOJ have condemned Omer’s arrest and called Somaliland Authorities for immediate release.

Goobjoog media Group condemned his arrest and calls for the release of its Journalist without conditions.
