Government forces and AMISOM conduct security operations in Bakara market

Somali security forces backed by AMISOM police have on Thursday morning cordoned Bakara Market and launched intensive operation in the market.

Government forces are conducting search operations in the market while AMISOM police blocked the main roads entering Bakara market as a local businessman told the media.

Unspecified number of people were arrested during these massive operations in the market and their investigations are underway.

This operation comes a time when government forces have killed two Al-shabab members who assassinated a security officer in Bakara market.
