Ahlu-sunnaDynamic Presidential candidate for the presidency of Galmudug State, Ahmed Abdisalan has urged Somali federal government to embody the moderate Islamist Group, Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamaa’a in the ongoing conference.

In press statement, he has emphasized the role Ahlu-Sunna waljama’a played in the liberation of somali central regions and the unification of people these regions and that it is not good for the federal government of Somalia to drag its feet on the desires of the group.

“ It is not logical to turn a blind eye to the struggle made by Ahlu Sunna and its importance for the formation of an administration for the region, I urge the Federal government not to continue with the talks in Cadaado without their presence. I know they are ready on their part,” Ahmed said.

Candidate Ahmed Abdisalam is one of the visible candidates for the Presidency of Galmudug whose election is to be held in the district of Adado.

This comes when Somali government is in talks with the group which has taken over the control of Dhusa-Marewb earlier this month after engaging gun battle with government soldiers who later on withdrew town.

On 10th this month, Ahlu-Sunna declared that its delegates would vacate the conference within 24 hours.

Speaking to Goobjoog News, its leader Sheikh Ibrahim Gurre, who was among the signatories to Somali central State formation conference put blame on Somali minister for internal affairs, Abdirahman Odawaa.

“The internal minister is a naive young boy who is new in the political arena so i have no answer for him” he said.

He added that they do not recognize the government “this government is not representing us”
