Himan and Heeb Forces Integrated Into Federal Police
The defunct local administration of Himan and Heb has handed over its forces to Somalia federal government as a ceremony in Adado town, central Somalia where a state formation conference is at very advanced stage.
The handing over ceremony was attended by Adado Mayor Abdirahman Abdullahi, Federal police chief for central regions Col. Mohamed Jima’ale Osoble and the commander of Adado police station.
The mayor has urged the federal to accommodate the new forces and uphold their rights of salary and welfare.
Col. Osoble who also spoke in the ceremony has commended the local officials for their willingness to cooperate with the federal government.
This is seen as a very significant step towards formalizing the security sector in the central regions where different entities were operating separately.
