Local militias kill 10 Al-Shabaab militants in Hiiraan region

Heavy clashes between local militias and Al-Shabab broke out on early Sunday morning around ell Ali village in Hiiraan region. The attack happened after local militias launched an operation and attacked Al-Shabab base in the area.

A spokesman of the local militias told the media they killed at least 10 Al-Shabaab members and wounded many others.

Al-Shabaab still has not released any statement on the incident and now reports indicate the area is stable.

These local militias independently carry out operations and attacks against Al-Shabaab for the last two years in the region to protect their lives and animals from Al-Shabab.
