Hoosingow: At least 10 people die due to malnutrition

Reports from Hoosingow locality in Lower Juba states that at least 10 people mostly  children died due to malnutrition cases.

The elders in the locality confirmed to Goobjoog FM that the children were under the age of five years.

They added that there are many other malnourished children who were hospitalized in the health centers who need immediate medical care.

“If children do not receive immediate medical care when they become sick, they might not be able to eat food and then they quickly become malnourished” the elders said.

The elders are disappointed with the in inactive action of humanitarian aid agencies in the region.

Most of the children who were admitted to the health centers are from the nearby areas in Hoosingow locality hit by severe drought in the region.

The elders say that the people particularly children need vital living saving assistant.
