Storyline:National News

A motion against the administration of Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre is in the pipeline by some MPs according to MP Mohamed Abdikafi Mohamed.

Speaking to Goobjoog News MP Mohamed noted that Somali parliament is not united in this proposal to remove the Premier from power.

Somali Parliament is expected to resume on the 8th July, 2017 and has a lot of work to debate on.

When asked about the plans of the parliamentarians in regard to recent agreement between Southwest State and foreign companies and an American security firm, MP Mohamed narrated the huge work they are to undertake.

“The Parliament has a lot work to do whether it is government or regional issues or any other place in the country. I don’t think MPs will bother themselves with motion against the government but expect to be engaged fully with the huge workload we have ahead of us” said MP Mohamed.

Earlier the Somali Parliament voiced its opposing stand against UAE government of taking over Berbera military airport in Somaliland which is located in the Gulf of Aden.

The Federal government is expected to provide full information on the Berbera military airport acquisition among other issues to the Somali Parliament when it reopens for business on the 8th July, 2017.
