Jazeera hotel bomb attacks timeline

More than 10 people have perished in a devastating blast that rocked the up market Jazeera Hotel near Aden Ade International Airport Sunday afternoon.
Alshabab, which claimed responsibility, has conducted such attacks on the Hotel for the past three years. Goobjoog News has tracked the chronology of attacks on the hotel over this period of time.

September 12, 2012: A suicide bomber blew himself up, followed by heavy gun battle between attackers and government forces. The attacks hit the hotel at the same time president Hassan Sheik Mohamoud was holding the first press conference two days after his election.
The attack claimed 8 lives and 6 others were wounded.

January 1, 2014: 10 people died most of them government soldiers after a bomb-laden vehicle exploded at the front entrance.
Those killed included Hodan police station commander Abdikani Ahmed Gacal and Shibbis police station commander Mursal Abdikadir.
July 26, 2015: More than 10 people are feared dead and scores of others injured when a lorry loaded with explosives rammed into the parameter wall of Jazera Hotel.
