Jubbaland sets free Beled Hawo officials
Jubbaland authority released top officials from Beled Hawo town who were accused of murder of four people.
Among the officials released include the Governor of Beled Hawo, his deputy and Police Commander Abdi Kalil.
Blood money of two people among the four men killed was imposed on some of the officials to be paid towards the families of the deceased.
This move comes following a visit to Doolow town where the Beled Hawo officials were jailed by government officials from Jubbaland who undertook reviewing the murder case.
Jubbaland Military Court said they accused have to pay the blood money on certain period and if they miss to meet the deadline, they will face the law once again.
On 23rd July 2017 four men in custody in Beled Hawo Police Station were taken out of their cells during the night by the security officials where they were all shot and killed at point blank range.
