Kenya jet fighters bombard Elwak, a Somali border town

Kenyan military jet fighters early this morning attacked inside Elwak, a Somali town located on the border with Kenya.

Casualties not yet known but destruction of properties confirmed.

Somali federal forces are in the town which is under regional administration of Jubbaland State who were caught unprepared.

The logic behind the attack is not yet clear but Kenyan government had several times claimed allegedly that the town is a hotbed for mobilizing attacks on their soil.
