Key Points of President Farmajo

President Farmajo today addressed pro-government demonstrators from Banadir in Konis Football Stadium in support to his Administration.

Initially he appreciated their patriotism towards his government. He touched on the smooth working relationship between the Executive and the Parliament.

He said peace and progress is the hallmark of his administration and can be achieved through discarding personal interest and to work for all.

He informed the public on the positive productivity of the Prime Minister who selected excellent Federal Ministers and the same is expected from them.

The President mentioned how they scaled down corruption, fulfilling the trust put upon them, better life for all and lamented the country being rich in resources yet people dying of hunger. Corruption is the only malaise that retarded this country and pointed out to stop action where an official embezzles people’s salary. He predicted that Somali will be the much talked country in Africa in the coming four years in terms of prosperity.

Security

He said peace can be restored only with the help of the public passing information on trouble makers which will lead Mogadishu to become fully safe zone within six months.

“Peace cannot be achieved by us alone. It’s a collective effort. It depends on you and the security though their number is known for less. They can’t man every tree and house where the enemy stays. We need the public to inform the security agents where the destroyers of the nation are hiding. We are grateful to Waberi location where a person passed the information. If this move becomes wide and Banadir people play their role, this town becomes safe within six months” said President Farmajo.

‘‘We also inform you we vowed to stabilize this town to restore its glory, beauty and respect and compete with Nairobi, Addis Ababa and other cities. We can’t do it if war vehicles are driven in the city to attack the public. A soldier who attacks a person will face justice and his destination will be the gallows. Security force are armed to protect the citizens not to kill them’’ said the President.
