Kismayo: Federal government ministers and IGAD take meeting with IJA top leaders

The security of the port city of Kismayo, the administrative capital of interim Juba administration in Southern Somalia was tightened as federal government ministers and officials from IGAD are in closed door meeting with top IJA leaders.

Ministers for Finance and interior and federalism of federal government Hussein Abdi Halane and Abdullahi Qodah Bare together with IGAD envoys to Somalia and Ethiopia Mohamed Abdi Afey and general Gabra respectively reached the city.

IJA forces are seen patrolling the major streets of Kismayo to maintain the overall security of the town.

Other unconfirmed reports state that Kenyan warplanes were spotted flying low level over the city to keep the security of Kismayo.

Hassan Hareed Ilmooge,an official of Kismayo administration told Goobjoog FM that the security of the city was fully tightened by IJA forces and AMISOM adding that the delegates are in a meeting with Juba administration leaders.

The aim of the delegate’s visit is not clearly known, but they are expected to hold press conference and explain in details their discussions
