Kismayo: security forces apprehends over fifty people

The security forces of interim Juba administration have apprehended over fifty people mostly youth after conducting massive security operations in all the villages of all the villages of the port city of Kismayo.

The arrested people were moved to Kismayo Central police station for interrogation as our correspondent in Lower Juba region reports.

The security officials say the intensive security crackdown continues in all areas under the control of Juba administration including Kismayo, Afmadow, Qoqani and Dhoobleey.

The forces also seized five bombs planted in most of the roads in Kismayo.

This massive operations in Kismayo comes a time when explosions rocked in the city the last twenty four hours.

Tuesday evening hand bomb hurled by unknown assailant to a village wounded five civilians, but unfortunately one of the wounded died due to the heavy injuries sustained.

The officials vow to continue the operations until Kuda Island will come back to IJA’s control and the overall security of the region is maintained.
