Latest: At least 70 killed in Garissa University College attack

At least 70 people have been killed in an attack carried out by Al-Shabab fighters on Garissa University College on Thursday, according to Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery.
The minister added that 79 others injured in Thursday’s attack.
Speaking to the reporters Nkaissery said “the total number of the attackers is still unknown but the troops killed four of the attackers”
“The operation is still underway, the security agents are still fighting with the assailants”
Kenyan government ordered a dusk to dawn curfew in all North-Eastern counties including Garissa, Wajir and Mandera towns.
Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it had released Muslims while killing some Christians and taking others hostage.
“We sorted people out and released the Muslims,” Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab, al Shabaab’s military operations spokesman, told Reuters news agency.
“There are many dead bodies of Christians inside the building. We are also holding many Christians alive. Fighting still goes on inside the college”, he added.
