Lightning strike kills four people in Mudug Region

At least three children and their father killed in lighting strike incident in Mudug region of Somalia.

The lighting strike came after several hours of Heavy spring rains fall with strong winds in villages near Galkio town of Mudug region.

The mother of the family survived from the lighting strike incident but suffered from lighting  injuries, according to the residents.

Mohayadin Abdullahi an elder from Sahanly village which is where the lighting strike took place says apart from the family, several livestock killed by the deadly lighting strike.

“Heavy rains started falling last night and lighting strike killed four people and injured one in our village” said elder Muhaydin.
