Lock Down in Mogadishu “Eased”

Mogadishu StreetsGovernment has eased the total lock down of Mogadishu main roads ahead of the visit of Turkey President Rajeb Tayib Erdogan to Somalia.

Public transports has started operating this morning and were seen ferrying passengers to different parts of the city as they head to report their respective duties and education centers.

This comes after two consecutive days of total lock down of main roads which resulted mass human trek on suburban roads.

Huge numbers of people were seen on foot on Friday walking long distances to and from their work place, but others opted to stay out in their homes for the lack of transport.

Security forces are still manning some road blocks around State House and surrounding SYL hotel were Turkish delegation are staying ahead of Erdogan visit.
