Storyline:National News

A plea has been raised by some of the elders in Lower Shabelle region to the Federal Government in order to release peacemaker Sidow Ahmed Shimbirow taken a day ago from his home in Wanlaweyn town in Lower Shabelle region by government security officers.

Peacemaker Ahmed Mohamud who is among the elders who spoke to Goobjoog News said it is a sad incident to arrest peacemaker Shimbirow illegally.

“The security forces that took him were from the government. They attacked him at night and handled him badly. They terrorized his family and children. A leader deserves respect even if he is a suspect.  We appeal to the government to respond to this issue swiftly and release the peacemaker” said Mohamud.
