Storyline:National News

Jubbaland President Ahmed Madobe has reappointed his deputies Mohamud Sayid Aden and Abdulkadir Haji Mohamed a week after his inauguration.

In a decree Tuesday, Madobe retained Mohamud Sayid Aden as his first deputy and Abdulkadir Haji Mohamed as the second deputy.

The appointments are expected to pave way for the formation of a new council of ministers. Madobe was re-elected August in a controversial poll that saw the Federal Government dismiss it noting it will not recognise Madobe as a duly elected state president.

Dozens of senior politicians among them former presidents Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his predecessor Sheik Sharif Ahmed and state presidents attended Madobe’s inauguration last week.
