BREAKING: Madobe triumphs as competitors trail behind in Jubbaland polls

The incumbent president of Jubbaland, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, alias Madobe has registered a landslide victory in the just concluded presidential polls in the southern State of Jubbaland.

Madobe garnered 68 votes thrashing his competitors who trailed behind with the closest, Osman Hussein Feyrus and Hilowle Mohamed Adan tying with two votes each while Mohamed Osman Yusuf managing a no vote out of a possible 74.

Madobe, who has been the region’s leader since the formation of the Interim State in 2013 now becomes the first elected president of Jubbaland.
