Maximum Security Expected Soon in Mogadishu Says Somali Ministry for Security

The Minister for Internal Security of Somalia Mohamed Abukar Islow spoke of his intention to attain full security in Mogadishu within the next six months.

He said explosions, killings and other security threats will be wiped out too.

The only option to remove weapons from Mogadishu is disarmament and the current atmosphere of tranquility is the result of this move said the Minster.

Minister Islow mentioned of how the administration of Prime Minister Kherye is seriously determined to bring back the security of the entire nation quickly.

“We want in six months or the coming year no one should die in Mogadishu whether by explosion or pistol. This can happen by putting weapons in the armoury.  I inform the people not to be afraid as you can see Mogadishu is safer than before” said Minister Silow.

The Federal government is currently carrying operations in Mogadishu to stabilize the city through Special Forces to collect illegal arms from the residents.
