Meeting on Education affairs of Somalia begins in Garowe

 

An education curriculum meeting for Somalia starts officially today in Garowe, Puntland region.

The federal Minister for Education Dahir Osman who is in Garowe for the second day took a meeting with the Deputy President of Puntland Abdihakim Abdulahi Omar behind closed doors where the Press were excluded.

Meanwhile present in the meeting for the education curriculum is the local Minister for Education Abshir Aw Yussuf Isse who cited their participation in setting the policies for the syllabus to be used by the country.

The meeting that started today in Garowe, the regional capital of Puntland is geared towards deliberations on matters concerning education policies and syllabus of Somalia.

Initially the Puntland Ministry of Education opposed steps to amend the curriculum of the country.
