MPs meet with Somali premier on new state formation

At least 20 parliamentarians hailing from Benadi , Hiraan and Middle Shabelle regions have taken meeting with the prime minister of federal government of Somalia, Omar Abdirashid Ali on Monday in Mogadishu.
The meeting was focused on wide range issues including how to get a State representing Benadir, Hiraan and Middle Shabelle regions
MP Mohamed Mohamud Ibrahim Goodir speaking to Goobjoog FM has described that the gathering was discussed about issues affecting these regions and how the federal government could intervene Guri-El warring sides.
“The law-makers expressing their concern over the war have decided to see the prime minister on how to ease tension and state formation for these regions”
Asked about Mogadishu, if regional state is formed for Benadir, Lower Shabelle and Hiraan regions, has said “ Benadir itself is Mogadishu, we are talking about is it. Before it became the capital city of Somalia, there were people living here so they have to right to get regional state after that, it is obligatory upon the parliament to pass law about where the capital city will be”
