Mudug regional judge quits office

A judge in Mudug region has today announced he is resigning his office for what he termed as need for new crop of judges to take over from him.

Sheikh Ahmed Yusuf made the announcement during a press conference in Galka’ayo town without giving any details as to what may have caused him to quit office.

“I have reached the decision to quit office today and since the new regional administration has been formed, I am vacating this position to pave way for a new energetic person to serve the public,” said Yusuf.

The regional government is yet to commend on the matter.
