National Consultative Forum To Kick Off Today In Kismayo

National Consultative Forum is to open on today in Kisamayo town amid Security has been heighten in and around town.

Jubbaland state spokesman, Abdinasir Serrar has confirmed that the national consultative conference on the electoral process of 2016 election will be opened in the coastal town of Kismayo on Monday.

Speaking to BBC Somali service, Serar said delegates from the central government, regional administrations and international community began to arrive in the city to attend the scheduled meeting.

“The disagreement between Jubbaland and south west state of Somalia has been resolved and both sides will attend the national consultative conference in Kismayo on Monday,” said Jubbaland spokesman.

Security forces are heavily deployed on major roads in the city to frisk vehicles to ensure security is maintained.

The national consultative forum will be discussed on how best to conduct the general election late this year.
