Neil Wigan: Godane’s death creates an opportunity to build peace and stability in Somalia

The government of Britain confirmed that its committed to work with Somalia and international partners to speed up rebuilding and stabilizing the country

British ambassador to Somalia Neil Wigan said that Godane’s death creates an opportunity to build peace and stability in Somalia.

The ambassador added that his government will back the international partners and federal government’s efforts to stabilize and restore law and order.

On Friday Pentagon confirmed the death of Al-shabab leader, Ahmed Abdi Godane who was targeted by US airstrike on Monday in Lower Shabelle region.
