Newly appointed Gedo Governor takes office

Gedo newly appointed governor, Ahmed Bulle Mohamed has taken over the office in a ceremony held in Dollo town.
A well organized handing over ceremony which attended by the vice president of Interim Jubba Administration, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), the deputy Governor of Gedo region, Hassan Shiekh Elmi, Abdirashid Janan, Abass Ibrahim Gurey, Abdullahi yare, Sheikh Al-Qadi and other well-known politicians.
Speaking at the ceremony, the deputy governor has urged the staff to collaborate with the new governor.
“I am here to welcome the new governor and i call upon all staff to work with the newly appointed governor in order to create conducive working environment and to continue the developmental projects in the region” he said.
Meanwhile some of the most prominent politicians including the former governor of Mohamed Abdi Kalil, Mohamed Adan, Interim Jubba Administration’s Health minister, Hassan Dahir Yarrow, Sheikh Mohamed Aw-Libah, and Abdi Bare Abdi.
This comes after Ethiopian troops at the border town of Dollow jailed one of the ministers of Interim Jubba Administration, Hassan Dahir Yarrow after he opposing regional presidential decree to fire the governor of Gedo region, Mohamed Abdi Kaliil.
Political reconciliation conference held for IJA administration and IJA opposing politicians was concluded on Friday which the sides signed agreement to end the differences between them.
Jubbaland president, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has fired Mohamed Abdi Kalil as the governor of Gedo region, one day after the politician reconciled with the Jubbaland administration.
But Kalil has denounced the move and labeled it as immature, with no basis as he was appointed by federal government.
