One dies after two militias fight in Abudwaq

Heavy fighting which lasted up to several hours between clan based militias  took place in the town of Abudwaq, which reportedly left at least one person dead, with many more five injured on Thursday afternoon..

The clashes began as opposing clan based militias attacked rival clan militias whom they accused of land grabbing, causing a heavy fight to break out between the two in which both sides used heavy weaponry.

The motive of this fighting is believed to be land disputes between the two sides.

Local traditional elders have been dispatched to the scene of the fighting to put seize fire between the two conflicting sides.
