PM Abdiweli urges technical committee assisting state formation to come back to Mogadishu

A decree from the office of Somali Prime minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed dated 1st November 2014 urged the technical committee facilitating the formation of the administration of South Somalia to come back to Mogadishu for consultation.

He called the conference to go forward in line with the agreement signed in Mogadishu where the sides, six and three regional administrations approved to form a unified regional state.

He underlined that the process of state formation conference in the region to be inclusive and systematically managed.

Somali Prime minister suspended the approval of the constitution of South West Somalia and the election of leaders until consultation is over.

The speaker of the federal parliament of Somalia Mohamed Sheikh Osman supported the decision of prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud officially opened the state formation conference on 28th October in Baidoa, the headquarters of Bay region.
