Legislators today will decide the fate of the new cabinet line up in a vote following days of negotiations and petitions to pressure the PM to review the list.

President Farmaajo Tuesday appealed to the lawmakers to give a clean bill of health to the new cabinet urging them to drop any reservations against them.

About 105 MPs had last week threatened to shoot down the endorsement motion warning the PM Hassan Khaire flouted constitutional provisions in hiring his cabinet. The Speaker followed suit in a letter urging the PM to take into consideration the concerns of the lawmakers.

The PM needs 50%+1 vote from the House to form a new government failure to which he will have to go back to the drawing board.

Khaire nominated 26 ministers, an equal number of deputies and 15 state ministers in addition to one deputy premier.
