Politician Mohamoud Sayid “I Am the President of the 6 Regions South West State”

Mohamoud Sayid Adan who was the deputy president of the six regions South West has now announced that he is the president of the defunct state after the president Madobe Nunow Mohamed withdrew his post and took up ministerial position at the recognized three regions South West State headed by Sharif Hassan.

“Our agenda is clear, according to our constitution, if the president steps down, the deputy president would replace him, our term in office was 5 years, we are in office for one year, from now I am the president and the administrative capital is moved to Garbaharey” said Mohamoud.

The South West State comprising 6 regions was formed last year in a conference in Baidao, but this couldn’t start from the ground as 3 of the regions were already recognized as Jubbaland State and later 3 others were recognized as South West State headed by Sharif Hassan Sheik Adan.

Sharif appointed Madobe Nunow as agriculture minister on Tuesday after he accepted to withdraw his claims to be the president of 6 regions South West State. Almost all his supported were already absorbed into the new South West State.

Mohamoud Sayid Aadan has been staying in Gedo where he also apposed the Interim Jubbaland Administration.
