President Farmajo addressed the 58th anniversary of the independence of Northern Somalia

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, congratulated the Somali people on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the independence of the Federal Republic of Somalia and sent a free landing Somali flag to the Somali people.

The President pointed out that it is a great responsibility for every Somali person to ensure the cohesion of a free and independent Somali.

The President of Somalia addressed his speech a ceremony at the State House in Mogadishu, said: “Our freedom of today is blood and financial, today is a victory that began in the 1960s when the north and south joined and become united, that victory was one of the nation’s leading causes of Somalis and unity.”

The president also praised the residents of the northern regions for their professional role in the unity of north and south.

Mr Farmajo said that feelings of solidarity and physical lives in general government, despite difficulties they have experienced, and stressed that tribalism and self-interest have difficult to demonstrate patriotism and unity.
