President Farmajo appoints new director for civil aviation authority

The President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has appointed Ahmed Moalim Hassan as the Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority on Monday.

According to Villa Somalia statement, Hassan was the acting Director-General of the agency as he also is the first leader of Somalia civil Aviation Authority since the agency’s bill is approved and signed into law.

The President of the federal government, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has signed the Civil Aviation Bill, which was previously approved by the Lower House and the Upper House of the Federal Republic of Somalia,” a statement from Villa Somalia said.

The President thanked the Chair of the two Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, the Cabinet, the MPs and all Somali experts who took part in this effort to pass the act.
