President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo condemns the deadly attack of today that was hited by a rally of the new prime minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali in addis ababa

“I am saddened by the senseless attack on the innocent victims in Addis Ababa. These acts by a few cowards would not deter progress in Ethiopia. I spoke on the phone with H.E Abiy Ahmed. My thoughts and prayers are with them.” Said Farmajo

The explosion has killed four and injured several people at a large rally by supporters of Ethiopia’s new, reformist Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in the capital, Addis Ababa.

In a televised address shortly after Saturday’s blast; Abiy said “a few people” were killed in what he called a “well-orchestrated attack”, offering his condolences to families of the victims.

The explosion occurred shortly after Abiy finished speaking and was waving to the crowd.
