President Farmaajo in Egypt for AU meeting on Sudan crisis

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo last night arrived in Egypt to attend an African Union meeting to resolve the ongoing political crisis in Sudan.

The conference which is attended by African leaders is expected to discuss the situation of Sudan and adopt a joint position on the issues.

President Farmajo is also expected to have a series of meetings with the African leaders and Sudanese authorities in the conference to express his country’s support to the people of Sudan.

The African Union last week gave Sudan military council two weeks ultimatum to hand over power to civilian rule.
