President Gas: Keybdid’s inflammatory speech may lead to conflicts in the region
Puntland president Abdiweli Gas addressing the conclusion of consultation meeting between his administration and Federal parliament MPs in Garowe described Galmudug president’s remarks as direct violation and provocation against Puntland administration.
Abdiweli Gas accused Abdi Hassan Awale aka Keybdid of creating hostility in Mudug region while he underlined that Puntland will never tolerate such infringements.
Mr. Abdiweli Gas stated that such remarks may lead to conflicts, misunderstanding and mistrust between Puntland and Galmudug , adding that his speech was bare aggression supported by other actors since the words were uttered in their presence.
He said that Puntland is not against Federalism and interest of Somali people, but it must be accountable and prevent everything that may jeopardize its existence.
President Gas was responding to Abdi Awale Keybdid, Galmudug president who stated that everyone who opposes the formation unified administration for Galgaduud and Mudug regions in Central Somalia will be forced to accept. he was speaking during signing of agreement in presidential palace on 30th August 2014.
