President Hassan meets Ban Ki-Moon to discuss on situation of Somalia

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud today held a meeting with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon to discuss Somalia.

President Hassan and Mr Ban discussed on wide range of issues including political, security, economic, human rights and other issues.

He thanked the support of the United Nations and all the international community to stand with Somalia.

“Somalia has reached significant improvements, without the support of International Community Somalia would have not achieved these progresses” said President Hassan.

The Secretary-General said the United Nations will closily work with Somalia on issues related to human rights and the prevention of violence against humanity.
