Puntland burns expired foods in Bossaso

Tons of expired drinks was yesterday destroyed in the outskirts of Boosaso after a beverages company decided to destroy its expired notes.

Officials from the local council of Bossaso, elders and a section of other local leaders witnessed the destruction of the expired commodities.

The officials thanked the company for the initiative saying some scrupulous businessmen would have sold the same to the unsuspecting locals.

An official of the company said the products were imported from South Sudan. The company becomes the first one in the city to destroy products it has imported after their expiry dates has expired
