Puntland Government introduces new security measures in Bossaso Airport

As International direct route flights begin pouring into Bossaso newly opened modern Airport, government introduces a new security measure.

In a proactive attempt to maximise the level of security in Bossaso airport, a new police officer, trained to carry out extensive searches on the passengers’ luggages.

Similarly, a tough security screening were added in the airport in a bid to respond to the possible attacks of the Somalia’s Al-qaida linked militants.

Aden Muse Jama, Bossaso airport security chief who spoke to the media spoke on the new measures.

Jama stated that the passengers will go under three different kinds of security screening before proceeding to board airplanes at the airport.

Bossaso International Airport serves the first of its kind which was recently inaugurated as part of the current Puntland Government’s forefront strategies to improve infrastructure in the region.

The airport’s security chief sent stern warning to the people who are failing to abide by the airport’s rules and regulations.
