Puntland leader opens a new camp for Yemeni refugees in Bossaso

Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas, The President of North Eastern Somali Government of Puntland has opened a new refugees camp built for the Yemeni refugees who fled from conflict between the Government and the Huthi Militias.

The opened was also witnessed by the deputy President of Puntland Eng Abdihakin Abdullahi Haji Omar Amey, Yemen ambassador to Somalia, Puntland Interior Minister, Bari regional and Bossaso district authorities.

The President Mohamed Ali Gaas thanked the implementing partners for their remarkable task, emphasizing Puntland people’s warm reception for their Yemeni refugees during the upheaval in their home country.

Amid the visit, the president also inspected the living standards of the refugees in the camp.
