Puntland State of Somalia warns off imminent drought

Puntland President Abdiwali Gas has expressed concern over possible drought in the state; Meeting with Aid Organizations in Garowe on Wednesday, the state president called puntland people and Aid organizations to make proper preparations.

‘We are in OCT, and still expecting rains; nevertheless, the danger of drought looms large’

The state president called Puntland people and International Community to be aware of the situation, so that they can make proper preparations ‘ I would like to call Puntland  people and the International Community  to be aware of possible draught danger in state’ said the state President.

Rain forecasting authorities in state warned off little precipitation in this season could lead into drought crises  ‘ The prognosis from the concerned agencies is alarming, but we still hope something good because everything is in the hand of Allah’ Said, Abdiwali Gas, Puntland state president.
