Qansahdhere explosion victims brought in Baidoa for treatment
The Wounded victims of Tuesday’s bomb explosion in Qansaxdheere town in Southern Somalia were taken to Baidoa for treatment, Qansaxdheere DC said.
Bomb buried near the office of the deputy district commissioner of Qansahdhere had gone off leading injuries of several people.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Qansahdhere district commissioner, Isack Abdi Mohamud said the victims including his deputy and soldiers were lifted for further medication.
“The situation of the deputy is stable and he suffered minor injuries but there are two other soldiers whom their conditions are critical,” said Mohamud.
Qasahdhere is a district located same 90 kilometres away from Baidoa.
Qasahdhere has been under siege by Al-Shabaab since 2012 when the government of Somalia forces backed by African Union mission in Somalia AMISOM captured the town from Al-Shabaab.
