ROBOW FALL-OUT: Public Works Minister resigns

Public Works Minister Abdifatah Mohamed Ibraahim has resigned in protest of arrest and exclusion of Mukhtar Robow from the South West presidential elections.

Addressing the media in Mogadishu, Ibraahim, aka Geesey said his resignation was a result of the move by the Federal Government to arrest Robow and deny him participation in the December 19 elections.

Geesey, also an MP accused the government of interfering in the South West elections. The immediate former minister said the government took a unilateral decision in withdrawing Robow from the race noting there was no consultation with the people of South West and Parliament.

Geesey like Robow hails from South West state.
