Security operations in Galkaayo town

Puntland forces are carrying out Security operations intended to dismantle Al-Shabaab operatives following the killing of Councillor in Galkaayo town , officials said.

Saeed Hayle was gunned down Sunday evening by unknown people armed with pistols on his way home.

The Galkaayo administration said that security forces are undertaking to ensure the security safety and prevention programs over Al Shabab to conspiring to harm to the public.

“Many times they  (Al-Shabaab tried to hurt people, but security forces and the residents did not allow their plans to fulfilled, ” said administration.
