Several Ahlusuna fighters killed in inter-clashes

Storyline:National News

Several fighters of Somalia’s moderate Islamist, Ahlusunna Waljama’a were shot dead on Tuesday when an argument between the fighters ended in violent clashes, witness said.
The clash erupted when the fighters got into a row over salary paid to them.

The argument rapidly spiraled out of control and they began fighting with machine guns and rocket launchers.

“There was fighting between the fighters over remuneration for displaced families,” a resident said, adding that he believed the dispute was over salaries given to the fighters.

Somalia has been in the grip of civil war since the overthrow of President Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991.
