Ahlu Suna Wal Jama’a counsel commission governor Sheikh Omar Sheikh Abdulkadir addressing the media denied that Ahlu Suna militia is part of the conflict in Galgadud region.
“ We are concerned about the clashes, Ahlu Suna is not involved in this clashes, in other words no fight between government forces and Ahlu Suna militia in the region” he said.
He stated that the fights that embarked in Guriel and Dusa Mareb districts on Friday and Saturday is between clans living in the region that disputed over other issues.
Sheikh Abdikadir called the sides to seize fire without condition and solve their difference through negotiation table.
He added that they will not tolerate anyone to violate and intimidate and displace the people in the region.
“ No one will be allowed to terrorize people and violate the peace process in the region” Sheikh Abdikadir said.
This remarks comes hours after the governor of Galgadud region Hussein Wehliye Irfo blamed Ahlu Suna Wal Jama’a of starting the fight just to disrupt the state formation conferences of Central Somalia state in Adado district.
