Sidii: The joint forces are advancing to Sablale and Barawe

The governor of  the Lower Shabelle region Mohamed Noor Sidii stated that the joint forces have driven  Al-shabab out of many areas in the region.

Mr. sidii reiterated that the forces are now heading to Sablale and Barawe districts, stronghold bases of Al-shabab in the region.

The governor underlined that government forces and AMISOM troops have re-taken more areas of ground  from Al-shabab without resistance.

The governor finally said that the forces will not rest until  wiping Al-shabab  out  the region.

Federal government forces and African union peace-keeping troops have captured Bulo-Marer and Kurtunwarey districts in the Lower Shabelle region.
